Children's Consignment Store ~ Resaling in the Heights since 1988 ~
Where to go when your baby grows!
Y&R wouldn't be possible without our Awesome Moms:
We're offering store credit for anyone who wants to stop in and help for a little while: let your kids play with our kids, while you use your own unique talents to help Y&R become *THE* place to be this year! NEW Job Opportunity: I want to start a monthly *short* newsletter. Anyone interested in helping develop & compile it?
![]() 06/06/98 07/23/04 New York City 08/04 We are Janis & Phil: we met on a blind date and married in 1998. We bought Y&R in 2002, but it had already been in business for 14 years! Janis now runs the store while hubby Phil works at a "real" job. Our daughters Annie (12/03/99) & Molly (02/19/04) are usually at the store with me, unless Dad is home. Annie has become quite the sales-girl these days, and she loves helping customers find what they want and working behind the counter, but her favorite activity is still playing with visiting children while their mommies shop. Molly can be found rearranging the merchandise when she's not playing hide-n-seek with the other kids. In case you haven't heard, she's essentially potty-trained, and her vocabulary is growing by the minute! We have completely outgrown the Little Red House, so we are looking for a new space. I am committed to staying in the Heights area, so the new store will not be farther away! It will be much bigger, which will mean we can have more of the big items our customers are looking for - and we're looking at adding some other *new* items for sale. If there is something specific you'd like to see at Y&R, please contact us now! Finally, we hope to have a better kids' play-area. ~ ~ Birth ~ ~
![]() 01/18/04 02/25/04 Molly was born at home on February 19, 2004, 2 weeks 5 days overdue! Pat Jones was our midwife, and big sister Annie was in attendance. We attribute Annie's (usual) devotion to Molly to being completely involved in the blessed event. She helped Pat encourage me and brought water to me in her Scooby Doo cup. Molly's webpage is an amusing (I think) chronology of the last weeks of that pregnancy. The waiting was almost unbearable! However, we were all healthy and confident, and the birth was amazing. Molly is SuperBaby. She is easy-going and loves to entertain. She rolled over at 2 months, crawled at 4 months, pulled up to standing at 5 months, started walking at 7 months, stairs at 11 months, and potty-trained at 16 months! We expect she'll be in college soon. :)
